Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based systems and infrastructure to support business operations.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure the security and integrity of systems through regular audits, updates, and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System Engineer with a focus on Linux environments.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LPIC) are a plus.
