Responsibility
- Design, implement, and manage system enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and scalability of enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization to ensure high availability and uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and network components.
- Develop and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement measures to protect systems from threats.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and document system configurations and procedures.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on enterprise-level IT infrastructure.
- Proficient in Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration, including virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security best practices.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) and log analysis (ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are a plus.
