Responsibility
- Lead supplier quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and IQC/Warehouse teams to resolve quality issues and prevent disruptions.
- Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and improvement plans.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations and drive corrective actions.
- Facilitate training and development programs for suppliers to enhance quality awareness.
- Monitor and report on supplier quality trends, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Support new product introductions by evaluating supplier capabilities and risks.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety requirements in all supplier interactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
- Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and driving quality improvements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D).
- Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed.
