Responsibility
- Lead the structural design and analysis of civil, infrastructure, and building projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes).
- Develop detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for structural components, including foundations, beams, columns, and slabs.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate structural integrity, identify risks, and recommend remedial actions.
- Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for project stakeholders and clients.
- Oversee junior engineers and drafters, providing mentorship and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high-quality outcomes on schedule.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on civil, infrastructure, or building projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., SNI, ACI, Eurocodes).
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and advanced modeling techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering judgments under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
