Responsibility
- Lead the structural design and analysis of steel and aluminium structures, ensuring compliance with local and international building codes and standards.
- Develop detailed 3D models and structural drawings using advanced software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla Structures.
- Perform structural calculations, including load analysis, stress analysis, and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to integrate structural designs with overall project requirements.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, reports, and documentation for structural components and systems.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen to enhance team capabilities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on steel and aluminium structures.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla Structures.
- Strong understanding of international building codes (e.g., AISC, Eurocode, Australian Standards) and local regulations.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and advanced structural modeling techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
