Responsibility
- Develop and refine BIM structural models for bridge projects using Tekla Structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
- Create and review detailed bridge drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication documents for construction teams.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to integrate structural designs with overall project requirements.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to validate design integrity, load-bearing capacity, and compliance with local and international codes (e.g., AASHTO, Eurocodes).
- Optimize designs for cost-efficiency, material usage, and constructability while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Lead coordination meetings with stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless project execution.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on Tekla Structures and structural design best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and emerging technologies in BIM and structural engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Professional engineering license (PE) is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in structural design for bridges, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures (mandatory) and familiarity with other BIM tools like Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or STAAD.Pro.
- In-depth knowledge of bridge design standards (AASHTO, Eurocodes, or equivalent) and structural analysis principles.
- Experience working on international projects or in multicultural teams is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise with global teams and clients.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
