As a key member of our R&D team, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineers to develop advanced stamping dies, prototypes, and tooling solutions tailored to automotive, aerospace, and consumer electronics sectors. Responsibility
- Design and optimize progressive, transfer, and single-stage stamping dies using CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX).
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to validate tooling performance and material flow.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
- Develop cost-effective tooling solutions that reduce scrap rates and improve cycle times.
- Research and integrate emerging materials (e.g., high-strength steel, aluminum alloys) into stamping processes.
- Create detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications for vendors and internal teams.
- Lead prototyping and testing of new tooling designs, including first-article inspections (FAI).
- Stay abreast of industry trends in metal forming, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in stamping tooling design, preferably in automotive or aerospace sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, Creo, or AutoForm) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Simufact).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and metal forming principles.
- Experience with high-speed stamping presses and servo-driven systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
