Responsibility
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding taxes) in compliance with Indonesian tax laws.
- Conduct tax research and provide advisory on tax implications for business transactions, mergers, and restructuring.
- Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and external consultants to resolve tax-related inquiries and disputes.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize clientsâ fiscal positions while ensuring full legal compliance.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company and its clients.
- Assist in tax audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and coordination with auditors.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax provision calculations.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on tax processes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Masterâs degree or CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations (PPh, PPN, PPH 21/23, etc.) and international tax principles.
- Proficient in tax software (e.g., e-SPT, Oracle Tax, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Experience working with multinational clients or cross-border tax matters is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a bonus.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
