Responsibility
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, arranging surgical instruments, and ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile.
- Conduct pre-operative patient assessments, including medical history reviews, vital signs monitoring, and emotional support to alleviate anxiety.
- Monitor patients intraoperatively, documenting vital signs, administering medications, and responding promptly to any complications.
- Facilitate post-operative care, including wound management, pain control, and patient education on recovery and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination during surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development, including training sessions, workshops, and staying updated on the latest surgical nursing best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Valid Nursing License (STR) and registration with the Indonesian Nurses Association (PPNI).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse in an Operating Theatre or surgical setting, with Senior/Staff Nurse experience preferred.
- Proven expertise in perioperative nursing, including knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and emergency protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are a plus.
