Responsibility
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations and treatments, including preparing and handling endoscopic equipment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses during procedures, intervening as necessary to address any complications.
- Educate patients and their families about the endoscopic process, pre-procedure preparations, and post-procedure care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including procedure notes, observations, and follow-up care plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization standards for all endoscopic equipment and environments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Endoscopy Unit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification; registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Indonesia.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years specialized in endoscopy or a related field.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, monitoring, and care during endoscopic procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and sterilization techniques specific to endoscopic procedures.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with advancements in endoscopic nursing.
