Responsibility
- Design and deliver customized sport psychology programs for athletes, coaches, and staff across various performance levels.
- Conduct one-on-one and group sessions to enhance mental skills such as focus, confidence, resilience, and stress management.
- Collaborate with coaches and other support staff to integrate psychological strategies into training and competition plans.
- Develop and implement mental health and well-being initiatives to support athletes' holistic development.
- Assess and monitor athletes' psychological progress, providing feedback and adjustments to programs as needed.
- Educate athletes and staff on the importance of mental conditioning and its impact on performance.
- Stay updated with the latest research and trends in sport psychology to ensure evidence-based practices.
- Contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures related to athlete mental health and performance.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Sport Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Certification or licensure as a Sport Psychologist or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Proven experience working with athletes, preferably in high-performance or elite sport settings.
- Strong understanding of mental skills training, performance enhancement techniques, and athlete well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with athletes and staff.
- Experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation within a sport context.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training and competition schedules.
