Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities (e.g., Sheet Metal, CNC Machining, Cables, Mechanical Components) to achieve cost savings and supply chain efficiency.
- Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and selection processes, ensuring alignment with Plexusâs quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to align sourcing strategies with product development and business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and components.
- Drive sustainability initiatives by identifying and partnering with suppliers that align with Plexusâs environmental and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on mechanical or manufacturing commodities.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Certification in CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are advantageous.
