Responsibility
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate conceptual designs into manufacturable solutions.
- Perform design reviews, simulations, and stress analysis to validate mechanical components and assemblies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions.
- Optimize designs for cost-efficiency, manufacturability, and performance without compromising quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototyping and production phases.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new SolidWorks features, and emerging technologies in mechanical design.
- Mentor junior draftsmen and provide technical guidance to support team development.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a SolidWorks Draftsman or Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Proficient in SolidWorks (certification is a plus) with expertise in 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulation tools within SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding) and their design implications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for precision engineering.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong communication with global teams.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; additional languages are a bonus.
