Responsibility
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to integrate quality assurance (QA) best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar, ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman) to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure system scalability and reliability under real-world conditions.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide data-driven recommendations for quality improvements.
- Stay updated with emerging QA trends, tools, and methodologies to enhance testing strategies.
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote a culture of quality across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JMeter) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) and database validation (SQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, Gatling) and security testing basics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate technical issues clearly.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or Agile Testing are highly advantageous.
