Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for rail mobility systems, including signaling, control, and passenger information systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware engineers, data scientists, and project managers) to deliver end-to-end rail software solutions.
- Optimize software performance for real-time data processing and high-availability rail operations.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices to ensure the integrity and safety of rail systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C++, Java, or Python (or other relevant languages).
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards (e.g., EN 50128, IEC 62279).
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in rail automation, AI, and IoT to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on embedded systems, real-time systems, or industrial automation.
- Proven expertise in C++, Java, or Python, with experience in rail or transportation systems being a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with rail industry standards (e.g., EN 50128, CENELEC) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
