Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML models and software solutions for edge AI applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, product managers, and hardware engineers) to translate AI research into production-ready systems.
- Optimize AI algorithms for edge devices, balancing computational efficiency with accuracy to enable real-time decision-making.
- Architect and implement cloud-native and hybrid AI solutions using modern frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes).
- Lead code reviews, mentorship, and best practices to elevate team standards and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges, from model drift to system integration, and propose innovative solutions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML, edge computing, and software engineering, and advocate for adoption within the team.
- Contribute to open-source projects, whitepapers, or patents that advance Dell’s AI innovation portfolio.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (PhD preferred for research-heavy roles).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years specializing in AI/ML or edge computing.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java, with hands-on experience in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX).
- Strong background in software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with edge AI technologies (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Intel OpenVINO, or ARM-based devices) is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
