In this critical role, you’ll manage on-premise and cloud-based servers, optimize system performance, and implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard our digital assets. Responsibility
- Server Management: Administer, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, uptime, and resource utilization using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to protect against threats.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and execute automated backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Cloud Integration: Manage hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and migrate on-premise systems as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve server-related issues, minimizing downtime and impact on operations.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date system documentation, including configurations, changes, and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications, updates, and infrastructure upgrades.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in server administration, with expertise in Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications: Preferred: MCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Server+, or AWS/Azure certifications.
- Networking: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and load balancing.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation and task scheduling.
- Security: Experience with firewalls, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
