Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable security infrastructure to protect Googleâs data assets and intellectual property.
- Implement and optimize encryption, access controls, and authentication systems for enterprise-level data protection.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Legal) to ensure compliance with global security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Automate security monitoring and incident response using AI/ML-driven tools and custom scripts.
- Lead security audits and penetration testing to proactively address potential breaches.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security best practices and documentation.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats by researching zero-day exploits, ransomware, and insider risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise security engineering, with a focus on data protection.
- Expertise in cloud security (GCP, AWS, Azure), encryption protocols (TLS, AES), and identity management (IAM, OAuth).
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for security automation and tool development.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Chronicle) and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).
- Strong understanding of zero-trust architecture, network security, and secure SDLC practices.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
