Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems to ensure network security.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses.
- Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and access controls across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Lead threat intelligence analysis and implement countermeasures against emerging cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR standards and conduct regular audits.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior security team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Juniper security appliances.
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ELK) and endpoint protection platforms.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and encryption protocols.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Experience working in remote or night-shift roles with global teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
