Responsibility
- Client & Market Development: Identify and engage with international clients in the apparel and workwear sectors, expanding the company’s global footprint.
- Project Management: Oversee end-to-end execution of apparel projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and timeline targets.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Liaise with China-based production teams to align manufacturing processes with client specifications and market demands.
- Negotiation & Contracts: Lead pricing, MOQ, and terms negotiations with buyers and suppliers to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
- Trend & Demand Analysis: Monitor global apparel trends, material innovations, and competitor activities to inform strategic merchandising decisions.
- Travel & Relationship Building: Conduct on-site visits to client locations, trade shows, and production facilities to strengthen partnerships and resolve operational challenges.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, sourcing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare detailed sales reports, demand forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management review.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum 5+ years in apparel merchandising, sales, or sourcing, preferably in workwear or industrial textiles.
- Global Client Management: Track record of successfully managing international clients, particularly in North America, Europe, or Asia.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of apparel manufacturing processes, fabric technologies, and compliance standards (e.g., OEKO-TEX, WRAP).
- Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and buyers.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and using tools like Excel, ERP, or PLM systems.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish) are a plus.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%) for client meetings, trade shows, and factory audits.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot production delays, quality issues, and logistical challenges under tight deadlines.
