Responsibility
- Oversee and supervise all on-site civil and structural construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and milestones.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and tests to verify compliance with industry standards, client expectations, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of work, including material procurement and resource allocation.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and technical documentation for stakeholders and management review.
- Resolve on-site technical challenges and provide engineering solutions to optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and structural integrity.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols to mitigate risks and promote a zero-accident workplace.
- Liaise with local authorities, clients, and consultants to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and certifications for project completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia) registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in site-based civil and structural engineering, with a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, structural analysis, and building codes (local and international).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and site personnel.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, or MS Project for design review, scheduling, and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, QA/QC procedures, and sustainable construction practices is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia for the duration of the contract (work permit assistance provided).
