Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and scale PECVD and other CVD processes for thin-film deposition in semiconductor and advanced materials applications.
- Design and execute experimental protocols to characterize material properties (e.g., thickness, uniformity, stress, electrical/optical properties) using tools like SEM, AFM, ellipsometry, and XRD.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to integrate new processes into pilot and full-scale manufacturing workflows.
- Troubleshoot process deviations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reliability.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in CVD, ALD, and APM and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Document experimental data, process parameters, and results in compliance with ISO and industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Present findings to stakeholders and contribute to patent applications, technical papers, and conference presentations.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterâs degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with a focus on thin-film deposition, semiconductor processing, or nanotechnology.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CVD/PECVD process development within semiconductor, solar, or microelectronics industries.
- Proven expertise in process optimization, DOE (Design of Experiments), and statistical analysis (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
- Proficiency with metrology tools (SEM, TEM, XPS, profilometry) and cleanroom protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of improving process efficiency, uniformity, and defect control.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., COMSOL, Silvaco) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to collaborate in multicultural teams.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and adapt to a fast-paced, innovative research environment.
