Responsibility

  • Develop, optimize, and scale PECVD and other CVD processes for thin-film deposition in semiconductor and advanced materials applications.
  • Design and execute experimental protocols to characterize material properties (e.g., thickness, uniformity, stress, electrical/optical properties) using tools like SEM, AFM, ellipsometry, and XRD.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to integrate new processes into pilot and full-scale manufacturing workflows.
  • Troubleshoot process deviations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in CVD, ALD, and APM and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Document experimental data, process parameters, and results in compliance with ISO and industry standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and contribute to patent applications, technical papers, and conference presentations.

Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with a focus on thin-film deposition, semiconductor processing, or nanotechnology.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CVD/PECVD process development within semiconductor, solar, or microelectronics industries.
  • Proven expertise in process optimization, DOE (Design of Experiments), and statistical analysis (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
  • Proficiency with metrology tools (SEM, TEM, XPS, profilometry) and cleanroom protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of improving process efficiency, uniformity, and defect control.
  • Experience with process simulation software (e.g., COMSOL, Silvaco) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to collaborate in multicultural teams.
  • Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and adapt to a fast-paced, innovative research environment.
