Responsibility
- Lead reliability testing and analysis for LED components and lighting systems, including accelerated life testing (ALT), environmental stress screening (ESS), and failure mode analysis (FMA).
- Develop and validate reliability models to predict product performance under real-world conditions, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., LM-80, IES, AEC-Q101).
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify design weaknesses and implement corrective actions to enhance product robustness.
- Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to optimize material selection, assembly processes, and thermal management for improved reliability.
- Author comprehensive technical reports and reliability predictions for internal stakeholders and customers, supporting product launches and warranty claims.
- Monitor field performance data and drive root-cause analysis for returned products, implementing preventive measures to reduce failure rates.
- Stay abreast of emerging reliability engineering trends, tools (e.g., ReliaSoft, ANSYS), and industry best practices to maintain Lumiledsâ competitive edge.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on reliability methodologies and statistical analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in LED, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in statistical analysis (Weibull, MTBF, FMEA) and reliability testing standards (e.g., JEDEC, IPC, MIL-STD).
- Hands-on experience with reliability software tools such as ReliaSoft (XFMEA, ALTA), JMP, or MATLAB.
- Strong knowledge of material science, thermal management, and failure mechanisms in electronic components.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodologies is advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia or commute to the Badung office as required.
