Responsibility
- Develop and implement mechanical asset management strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of power plant operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to support mechanical maintenance and project initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and integrity of mechanical systems.
- Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing new technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the power generation or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and piping systems.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing asset management strategies and maintenance programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO, ASME, and local regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and maintenance management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
