Responsibility
- Supervise and inspect rebar installation on-site to ensure alignment with approved structural drawings, codes (e.g., ACI, SNI), and project specifications.
- Develop and review rebar shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and material takeoffs using CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla).
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve design conflicts and optimize reinforcement layouts for cost and efficiency.
- Conduct quality control checks on rebar materials (grade, diameter, corrosion resistance) and fabrication processes to meet industry standards.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols (PPE, fall protection, equipment handling) and OSHA/Indonesian labor regulations during installation.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and non-conformance documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor junior engineers and on-site teams on best practices for rebar detailing, splicing, and anti-corrosion treatments.
- Leverage value engineering principles to propose cost-saving alternatives without compromising structural integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rebar engineering, structural steel detailing, or reinforcement design for mid-to-large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, or ETABS for rebar modeling and shop drawing creation.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (ACI 318, Eurocode 2, SNI 2847) and local Indonesian construction codes.
- Proven ability to read and interpret architectural/structural blueprints, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for client and team coordination.
- Certifications in structural engineering, project management (PMP), or OSHA safety are highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Bali and occasionally other regions in Indonesia.
