As an HSSE Specialist, you will oversee all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) activities within the organization, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations. You will coordinate audits, conduct thorough inspections of work areas and equipment, and implement robust safety protocols to mitigate risks. Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of workplaces, equipment, and processes to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external HSSE audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings and non-conformities.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Provide HSSE training and awareness programs for employees at all levels to promote a safety-first culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSSE best practices into daily operations and project planning.
- Monitor and report on HSSE performance metrics, including injury rates, environmental impact, and compliance status.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and response plans are in place and regularly tested for effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSSE roles, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian HSSE regulations (e.g., Permenaker, PP 50/2012) and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in HSSE management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluency in English and Indonesian (written and verbal) is required.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
