Responsibility
- Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of distributed I/O hardware for industrial automation applications.
- Develop high-speed PCB layouts with a focus on signal integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, and thermal management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with embedded firmware and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Optimize hardware designs for cost, manufacturability, and scalability in high-volume production.
- Conduct failure analysis and root-cause investigations to improve system reliability and performance.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in industrial IoT, edge computing, and real-time control systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test reports.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in hardware development best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware design for industrial, automation, or embedded systems.
- Proven expertise in PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, or OrCAD) and high-speed digital/analog circuit design.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., CAN, RS-485, Ethernet) and real-time systems.
- Experience with FPGA/ASIC development and verification (VHDL/Verilog) is a plus.
- Familiarity with DfM (Design for Manufacturing) and compliance standards (CE, UL, RoHS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
