Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors to ensure accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for construction projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, including material, labor, and overhead expenses, to optimize project profitability.
- Conduct thorough contract analysis, including tender documentation, variations, and claims, to mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to align cost estimates with design specifications and timelines.
- Monitor project expenditures, track variances, and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all financial and contractual matters.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering solutions without compromising quality or safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the construction industry.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and financial management for large-scale projects.
- Strong proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar) and Microsoft Excel for advanced financial modeling.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local building codes in Indonesia.
- Ability to analyze complex data, interpret blueprints, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
