Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
- Conduct tendering processes, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Perform risk assessments and implement cost-control measures to mitigate financial risks.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and resolve contractual disputes.
- Prepare monthly progress reports and financial forecasts for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with project teams to optimize resource allocation and improve cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, contract administration, and tendering.
- Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, FIDIC, and local regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification from a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
