Responsibility
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for interior fit-out projects.
- Conduct site measurements and verify quantities of materials to ensure accuracy in cost projections.
- Monitor project expenditures and compare actual costs against budgets, reporting any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of project costs, variations, and financial reports.
- Assist in contract administration, including reviewing contract terms and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Support the senior quantity surveyor in valuing completed work and preparing progress payment certificates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction regulations to provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on interior fit-out or construction projects (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Candy).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to review technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
