Responsibility
- Manage post-contract cost control, including valuation of variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Prepare and negotiate subcontractor payments, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Conduct financial reporting and cost analysis to support project decision-making.
- Handle dispute resolution and claims management to minimize financial risks.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure budget adherence and cost optimization.
- Review and assess variation orders (VO) for accuracy and contractual compliance.
- Oversee the final account settlement process for completed projects.
- Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in post-contract quantity surveying, preferably in high-rise construction.
- Proven track record in claims, variations, and final accounts management.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., PAM, JKR, FIDIC).
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or similar).
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional membership (e.g., RICS, BQSM, or equivalent) is a plus.
