We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor specializing in fire protection equipment and systems to drive our tendering and cost management processes in the region.
This is a full-time opportunity based in Denpasar, offering a competitive salary package (SGD 3,000 – 4,500/month) with Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) and performance bonuses. Responsibility
- Prepare and submit competitive tender documents for fire protection system projects, ensuring accuracy in cost estimation and compliance with client requirements.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs for fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems.
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure cost-effective materials and services without compromising quality.
- Develop and maintain cost databases for fire protection equipment, including sprinklers, extinguishers, and control panels.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to optimize designs for cost efficiency and regulatory compliance (NFPA, local codes).
- Assess variation orders and claims, ensuring fair valuation and documentation for approval.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and new fire safety technologies to enhance tender competitiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferably with fire protection specialization).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 2 years in fire protection systems (tendering experience is a must).
- Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS) and Microsoft Excel for complex financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection standards (NFPA, FM Global, local Indonesian regulations).
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD, BIM) for fire system layouts.
- Experience working in Southeast Asia or international markets is highly advantageous.
- Certifications in fire safety or quantity surveying (e.g., RICS, CFPS) will be a plus.
