Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
- Conduct tender evaluations, including bid comparisons, contractor selection, and recommendation reports for stakeholders.
- Manage contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms to minimize risk and maximize value.
- Monitor project expenditures, track variations, and provide monthly cost reports with actionable insights for senior management.
- Perform site visits and inspections to verify progress, measure work completed, and validate invoices against contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to optimize design and material selections for cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Resolve contractual disputes and claims, providing expert advice on entitlement, liability, and quantum assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards in all financial and contractual documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in large-scale construction projects (residential, commercial, or infrastructure).
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or Primavera) and MS Excel for complex financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, FIDIC, and standard forms of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English (Indonesian language skills are advantageous).
- Certification from a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS, or PQS) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (work visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates).
