Responsibility
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including bills of quantities, cost estimates, and contractual terms.
- Conduct cost planning and budgeting for construction projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and market conditions.
- Perform quantity take-offs and material cost analysis to support procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
- Monitor project expenditures, track variations, and provide financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks through value engineering and cost-saving recommendations.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure contractual compliance and dispute resolution.
- Prepare final accounts and settlements, including variations, claims, and cost reconciliations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and construction economics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on tendering and project QS in the construction industry.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, WinQS, or similar) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT) and local regulations in Indonesia.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, AIQS) is a plus.
