Responsibility
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making for new projects.
- Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor project expenditures, track variations, and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to optimize resource allocation and improve project efficiency.
- Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and valuation reports for client submissions and internal reviews.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify progress, assess risks, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, material selection, and construction methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. MRICS or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record in large-scale construction projects (preferably in infrastructure or commercial developments).
- Strong proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or Primavera) and MS Excel for financial modeling.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and industry regulations (FIDIC, JCT, or local standards).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and translate them into accurate cost plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
