Responsibility
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to optimize project viability and mitigate financial exposure.
- Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, securing favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project expenditures against budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs and specifications are cost-effective and buildable.
- Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and valuation reports for client submissions and internal reviews.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Bali and Indonesia.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on cost control, procurement strategies, and value engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or Primavera) and MS Excel for financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT) and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Bali’s construction market, including local suppliers, labor costs, and regulatory requirements.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, CIOB, or PQS) is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
