As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, mitigating risks, and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors. Your expertise in cost estimation, contract administration, and dispute resolution will be critical to the success of our projects. Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
- Manage and resolve subcontractor claims, ensuring fair and timely settlements.
- Conduct contract administration, including reviewing terms, negotiating agreements, and ensuring compliance.
- Monitor project expenditures and provide cost-control recommendations to stakeholders.
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential financial disputes.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and legal teams to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and valuation reports.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, variations, and claims.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on subcontractor claims and dispute resolution.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, contract law, and financial management in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with FIDIC, JCT, or other standard construction contracts.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
