Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract terms to ensure accurate cost estimation.
- Conduct cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for construction and M&E projects, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts to secure the best value for projects.
- Monitor project costs and progress, providing regular reports to stakeholders and recommending corrective actions to mitigate financial risks.
- Assess and process variation orders (VOs) and claims, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and minimizing disputes.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align cost objectives with design and construction timelines.
- Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all cost-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in builder or M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) environments, preferably in the construction or hospitality sectors.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and financial management principles.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents accurately.
- Familiarity with Indonesian construction regulations and standards is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
