Responsibility
- Lead the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Conduct tender analysis, evaluation, and negotiation with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor and control project expenditures, including variations, claims, and final accounts, to maintain profitability and financial integrity.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to optimize resource allocation and minimize cost overruns.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, local regulations, and industry standards in all financial and procurement activities.
- Provide expert advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering without compromising quality or safety.
- Prepare and present monthly cost reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors and support staff to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, preferably with main contractors on large-scale construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
- Proven expertise in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar) and Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, JCT, etc.) and local building codes/regulations in Indonesia.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in multicultural teams.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia, with flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
