Newcon Builders Pte Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction team in Pasir Ris. As a key member of our project operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring project profitability, cost control, and effective contract administration. You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of project costs, from initial tender and procurement to final account settlement. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of building standards, contractual obligations, and strong analytical skills to mitigate commercial risks while delivering high-quality infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Responsibility
- Prepare and submit accurate tender bids, including quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
- Manage project budget tracking, cost monitoring, and monthly progress claims.
- Review and administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and project specifications.
- Evaluate and manage sub-contractor quotations, purchase orders, and final account settlements.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to resolve contractual disputes.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and cash flow projections for management review.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Singapore construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office (Excel).
- In-depth understanding of SIA/PSSCOC contract conditions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and under tight project deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical literacy.
