Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain in-process quality control systems to ensure semiconductor manufacturing meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for defects, non-conformities, and process deviations, proposing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and analyze process stability and yield metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering teams to validate new processes, materials, or equipment for quality compliance.
- Conduct audits and inspections (internal/external) to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant quality management systems.
- Train and mentor junior QA staff on best practices, tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA), and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present quality reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting KPIs, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement projects (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to reduce defects, waste, and cycle time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in semiconductor quality assurance, with a focus on in-process control.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, PDCA).
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 9001 is highly desirable.
- Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., lithography, etching, deposition) and metrology tools.
- Proficient in data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel) and quality management systems (e.g., SAP QM).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, AEC-Q, or customer-specific requirements).
