Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace standards.
- Perform quality assurance audits, inspections, and testing to ensure product and process conformity.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints using root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, such as defect rates, first-pass yield, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring quality requirements are met from design to production.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in aerospace quality engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards.
- Proficient in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with quality management software (e.g., SAP, ETQ, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or ASQ (American Society for Quality) are a plus.
