Responsibility
- Lead and execute comprehensive quality control inspections for manufacturing and logistics processes to ensure adherence to Dell’s standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, document, and maintain compliance records, audit trails, and quality assurance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, or process inefficiencies and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and optimize workflows for continuous improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring quality issues and propose data-driven solutions to enhance product reliability.
- Train and mentor junior QC staff on inspection techniques, compliance protocols, and the use of quality management systems (QMS).
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, such as defect rates, rework percentages, and customer returns.
- Stay updated on industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) and ensure all processes align with global best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably within manufacturing, electronics, or logistics sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, CE, RoHS).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA), and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to train teams, present findings, and collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and quality inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to precision, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
