In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping sustainable energy solutions by identifying project risks, validating key assumptions, and developing innovative mitigation strategies. Based in Bali’s dynamic tech and green energy hub, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and stakeholders, to deliver cutting-edge renewable energy solutions that power a greener tomorrow.
Responsibility
- Provide technical expertise in solar PV and BESS design, engineering, and implementation for project bids and proposals.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate project viability and technical requirements.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks related to solar and BESS integration, performance, and compliance.
- Develop and validate key technical assumptions, including energy yield estimates, system sizing, and efficiency calculations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical designs, budget constraints, and project timelines.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Support commissioning and testing of solar PV and BESS systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices in solar and energy storage to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV and BESS project development, design, or technical consulting.
- Proven track record in technical due diligence, risk assessment, and problem-solving for renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, battery technologies (Li-ion, flow batteries, etc.), and grid integration.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, HOMER, or equivalent tools for system modeling and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements for renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Bali and other regions as needed.
