Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new suppliers, vendors, and cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and avoid shortages.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions to address any issues.
- Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to optimize procurement budgets and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and market trends to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of industry regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
