Responsibility
- Perform unitization, installation, and disassembly of industrial pumps and mechanical systems in the workshop.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, and related hydraulic/mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical failures using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Ensure workshop safety and cleanliness, adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, and service reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and recommend solutions.
- Inspect and test repaired equipment to verify functionality and performance before deployment.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices in pump mechanics and workshop safety.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Pump Mechanic or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
- Proven expertise in repairing, maintaining, and installing centrifugal, submersible, and positive displacement pumps.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical seals, bearings, and alignment techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
- Certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
