Based in the vibrant and dynamic environment of Bali, you’ll contribute to projects that enhance grid stability, integrate renewable energy sources, and improve operational efficiency for utilities, industrial clients, and government agencies. Your expertise will directly impact the resilience and intelligence of power systems in a rapidly evolving energy market.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, configuration, and testing of protection and control systems for high-voltage substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.
- Develop and review protection schemes (e.g., differential, distance, overcurrent) using industry-standard tools like ETAP, PSCAD, or DigSILENT.
- Perform system studies, including short-circuit, load flow, and stability analyses to ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SCADA, automation, and smart grid technologies into power infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical leadership in commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance validation of protection and control systems.
- Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and drawings for clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives to elevate team capabilities.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in power system protection, digital twins, and cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization preferred).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in protection and control engineering for high-voltage power systems (110kV and above).
- Proven expertise in protection relay settings, coordination studies, and arc flash analysis.
- Proficiency in ETAP, PSCAD, DigSILENT, or similar software for system modeling and simulation.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, IEEE standards, and utility communication protocols (e.g., DNP3, Modbus).
- Experience with SCADA systems, RTUs, and PLCs in power utility or industrial environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
