Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end Data Center construction projects, from planning and design to execution and handover, ensuring compliance with Japanese and international standards.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor progress against milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or budget overruns.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and internal teams, to align expectations and secure necessary approvals.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present progress reports, financial forecasts, and post-project evaluations to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in construction project management and leveraging new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years specializing in Data Center or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry standards (e.g., LEED, Tier Certifications for Data Centers).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and BIM tools.
- Familiarity with Japanese business culture and practices is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to work a 5.5-day workweek and travel to project sites as needed.
