Responsibility
- Manage and oversee the procurement process for construction materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to forecast material needs and avoid shortages.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders, deliveries, or invoices in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to support company goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing administration, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize purchasing activities.
