Responsibility
- Lead and manage end-to-end ship repair and maintenance projects, from planning to execution and delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and work scopes for ship repair, dry docking, and conversion projects.
- Coordinate with clients, classification societies (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloydâs Register), and internal teams to ensure compliance with maritime regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee resource allocation, including labor, materials, and subcontractors, to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning to proactively address potential project delays or technical challenges.
- Monitor project progress through KPIs, reports, and site inspections, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Implement safety, environmental, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO, OHSA) in alignment with company and international standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project performance and recommending process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Masterâs degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CEng) are a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in ship repair, marine engineering, or dry docking, with at least 3 years in a project management or senior engineering role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale ship repair projects for commercial, naval, or offshore vessels.
- In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL) and classification society rules (ABS, DNV, LR, NK).
- Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, NAPA).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and client relationships.
- Familiarity with Indonesian maritime industry standards and local regulatory requirements is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to shipyards, ports, or client sites as required.
